1. Purpose

Denkimedia is a service that converts a PDF document you upload into an interactive web publication (search, zoom, navigation, statistics), accessible via a unique link. These terms apply to any use of the service, whether or not an account is created.

2. Account and access

Certain features (tracking of your publications, statistics, paid plans, custom templates) require the creation of an account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity carried out from your account.

3. Plans and pricing

Details of the plans, their limits (number of pages, file size) and their prices are set out on the Plans & pricing page, which forms an integral part of these terms. The chosen plan applies per publication: you may have publications on different plans at the same time.

4. Payment

Payment for paid plans is currently handled manually (offline), according to the terms agreed with you at the time of ordering. For the Solo and Pro plans chosen by a client, the publication is generated immediately; you then have 7 days to settle the payment. If payment has not been made by the end of this period, access to the publication is suspended (the content is neither deleted nor modified) until payment is settled.

5. Uploaded content

You warrant that you hold all necessary rights to the content of the PDF document you upload (copyright, trademarks, personal data of third parties contained therein, etc.). Denkimedia claims no ownership rights over this content: it is processed solely to produce the publication you request. You are solely responsible for the content you publish and for its compliance with applicable law.

Denkimedia reserves the right to suspend or delete a publication whose content is manifestly unlawful, or in the event of non-compliance with these terms.

6. Availability and changes to the service

Beta version. The service is currently offered as a beta version: its features, limits and plans may change, and bugs or interruptions may occur more often than with a final service. Changes to plans or prices do not apply retroactively to publications already paid for. Please report any problem to us through the messaging built into your account area. Keep a copy of your original documents: the service hosts your publications; it does not replace your own archiving.

Denkimedia uses reasonable means to ensure the availability and reliability of the service, without guaranteeing that it will be entirely free of interruptions. The service evolves regularly; publications in connected mode (the default mode) automatically benefit from improvements made to the reader, without any action on your part.

7. Deletion and retention

Deleting a publication can be undone for 30 days (trash), after which it is permanently and irreversibly deleted. A temporary link (Discovery plan, trial without an account) expires automatically at the end of its validity period.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account from your profile; this deletion also erases your publications and their statistics. Denkimedia may suspend or terminate access to an account in the event of non-compliance with these terms, in particular in the event of failure to settle a payment due or of unlawful content.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Denkimedia shall not be held liable for indirect damages resulting from the use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be amended; the version in force is the one published on this page on the date of your use of the service.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law applicable in the Province of Quebec and Canadian federal law.
